11/12/2022- If you are shopping for a ceramic coating, consider who you get it installed by. Ceramic Pro is permanent, and should be applied in a controlled environment. Mobile application is not recommended by the manufacturer. If something happens to your ceramic coating, how would you find the mobile detailer for warranty work? Consider using a shop that has installed 100’s of coatings, has a positive reputation in our Santa Cruz community, employs local young people, pays taxes in our city, and complies with local environmental regulations. Thank you for your consideration.
11/5/2022- Our shop is continuing to grow and adapt, as we focus on our Big3: Ceramic Coating, PPF Film, and Window Tint. I’m working with two excellent detailers, Lucas and Sean. Lucas has worked at the shop for 3 years, and Sean for a year and a half. We had the exterior of our building painted by Jay Gardner Painting. We are detailing more and more electric vehicles. We have also seen a variety of 911’s, luxury cars, and some awesome new trucks.

1/1/2021- Happy New Year to all our friends! I wanted to take a minute and say thank you to every single person who trusted us with their vehicle this year. Thank you to those who let us install PPF Film and Tint on your vehicle. We look forward to meeting more great people this year, and continuing to learn new innovative ways to serve you. Aside from the great services we offer at our shops, we have also developed an extended network of service providers for all things automotive. Whether you need a new windshield, or brake repairs, we have relationships with the top shops in Santa Cruz, and can save you time and money.
12/22/2020- Today we signed the lease to open our second location. Our additional location is at 705 Capitola Rd. at the Great Gas property. We look forward to meeting new customers, and getting to know the other business owners in the area. We will be offering all the same services as our first location including: Detailing, Window Tint, Dent Removal, Scratch Repair, and Ceramic Pro coatings. Thank you to all our customers and supporters this last year who made this possible.

10/26/2020- We are pleased to announce we are now a Powered by Ceramic Pro shop. After doing 100s of installs this year, we have been officially recognized by Ceramic Pro corporate, and are now “Powered By” installers. Come by any day except Monday for your free paint assesment and quote.

5/23/2020- We are open here at Beach Cities Auto Detailing. I wanted to take a minute and thank our loyal customers for your support during these times. We appreciate it so much! Things are in full swing here and we are taking appointments for June. In light of the circumstances, we are wearing masks and gloves, performing alcohol wipe downs on the keys and door handles, and sanitizing the shop nightly.
2/28/2020- We are pleased to announce Beach Cities Auto Detailing is now an authorized Transparent Warranty shop. We sell warranties for: Headlights, Exterior Paint Protection, Tires/Wheels, Key Fobs, Paintless Dent Repair, PPF Film, Interior, and Glass. These low cost warranties can be applied to any part of your vehicle that you want protected. If you bought all the warranties, it would cost you only $9/month on Flex Pay! That’s cheaper than Netflix. No interest financing, and no credit check.
2/04/2020- More and more customers are opting for Ceramic Coating these days, for both the protection and the shine. We offer 2 year coatings by CQuartz, and Lifetime coatings by Ceramic Pro. We have coating packages to fit all budgets.
1/12/2020- You should start the new year with a fresh car! Let us erase the previous year from your car and deep clean the interior with steam and conditioning. We are now certified installers of Ceramic Pro coatings. We can put a lifetime guaranteed coating on your paint, glass, and wheels. 12/4/2019- Please stop by and check out our newly renovated lobby! We have a ping pong table, and a drum set for you to enjoy while you are waiting on your car. If you’re hungry, there is a pizza parlor and a taqueria next door. Or feel free to borrow one of our beach cruisers and head out to one of your favorite spots near by. We are also selling Beach Cities Hats ($15) and T-shirts ($20). We also sell high end detail accessories and gift certificates.

5/20/2019- Thank you to all of our customers who have been supporting our new location. Things are great at the new shop, and we are expanding our service options, improving our current offerings, and adding new products, all to offer our customers better service and cleaner cars. We now offer water damage repair, and sanitizing. Whether your car has mice nests, water damage, or mold/mildew, we can fix it, and get the car back to better than new condition.
3/10/2019- Well, after 13 years in business, and 6 months of working with the city to get permitted, we are finally open at a physical location (434 Barson St. Santa Cruz, CA 95060). This has been a dream of mine since the beginning. I have driven by this location almost daily since I was a kid, and always thought it would be a cool place to have a business. We will still be offering mobile detail service to our customer who prefer or require it, but the storefront will be offering additional/exclusive services, customer lounge, Wi-Fi, coffee bar, free drinks, and detailing and car items for purchase. We will be having a grand opening party sometime in the near future, so please stay tuned. Thank you to all my customers, employees past and present, mentors and advisors, my wife and family, and so many more people who have helped me along the way. Truly, thank you all.
1/30/2019- Hope everyone’s year is off to a great start. The hardest part of marketing my business, is effectively telling the customer how much work we do on the cars, and the high level of detailing they will receive. We clean things on the car you will never notice, the undersides of interior plastics, the backs of wheels. We are the types of people who detail our own cars on our days off. We are the types of people who enjoy hard work. We work tirelessly on each vehicle, only stopping to admire the results once we are done. All I am trying to say, is that we are different. It would be an honor to detail your vehicle for you. We will work as hard as we can to make the car look as good as it can.
1/9/2019- Happy New Year to all of our amazing customers and friends! 2018 was an exceptional year and we are looking forward to 2019 being even better. We recently got approval from the city to open our first permanent location. We will be the only shop in town doing only detailing exclusively. We will also offer custom wash services, which are a great alternative if you have been disappointed by other car washes around town. We will still offer our high end mobile services as well. When you choose Beach Cities you are choosing a local company, which was established in 2005. We are constantly researching the latest and greatest in products and procedures to bring the best to our customers. We are the only ones offering true paint correction services, ceramic coatings, and restorative interior detailing.
11/27/2018- We even work when it rains. We are offering discounts on full details, and still doing interior details even on rainy days. Aside from that, we are also offering deals on paint protection, all weather car mats, carpet scotch-guarding, and interior steam cleaning/water removal in case you accidentally leave a window or sunroof open.
9/19/2018- With the rainy season approaching, now is a good time to consider protecting your car. We offer, wax, synthetic paint sealant, and ceramic coatings to protect your paint. Not only will your paint be protected, but it will also be much easier to wash once the weather improves. We also offer glass treatment, which improves visibility on rainy days. 8/13/2018- Wow is it hot out there! Have you tried washing your own car with city water, and found that it leaves behind water spots and calcium deposits? Just a reminder, that we are the only detail company in Santa Cruz using deionized water. Regular city water has over 300PPM of crap in the water. Our deionized water is filtered down to 5PPM. 3/6/2018- What makes us different than a normal car wash? We get asked this quite often. There are many things which make our service different. Car washes use recycled water. While we believe in recycling and caring for our environment, we don't think water that was used to wash the last customer's wheels should be sprayed on your paint. We used de-ionized water from Culligan water treatment, and the results are a spot free shine. Our products also separate us from the competition. After 13 years in business, I have hand selected only the best, longest lasting, and safest products to use on your vehicle. Our waxes last longer, our interior cleaners are safer and non-toxic, and we only use products we would trust on our own cars. We look forward to working for you in the near future.

1/28/2018- Does your car's interior have stains, odors, or just dirt in hard to reach areas? We can help you out with one of our many interior detailing options. We clean and condition leather seats, leaving them supple and not greasy. We do complete stain removal on cloth seats and carpets. We have an extractor to deep clean, the same way they deep clean the carpets in your home. We also offer steam cleaning, which is high temperature cleaning that also sanitizes. All the cleaners we use are bio-degradable and non-toxic, so they are not harmful to your kids or pets.

10/18/2017- Thoughts on Winter paint protection. With winter fast approaching, and the inevitable rains, it may be a good time to think about protecting your vehicle's paint. There are a lot of options, but none can match the durability and bullet proof protection of a ceramic coating. Can you picture hand washing a pan that has a Teflon coating, compared to one that doesn't? That is how your car's paint will be with a coating on it. 7/25/2017- Auto Detailing Santa Cruz. We are proud to announce our new partnership with Culligan Water. We will now be using their water for all of our auto detailing. The water provided using Culligan filtration is over 30x more pure than the water in Santa Cruz County. Because of this, the cars will come out cleaner, windows will be more clear, and the paint will be better cared for. We are the only detailing company in Santa Cruz using deionized water.

11/4/2016- Winter detailing: Here at Beach Cities Detail we offer some winter specific services to protect and pamper your car. Whether you are parking your car outside during these rain storms, or taking it to Tahoe for winter sports, our services will protect the interior and exterior of your vehicle.
We can protect your paint using a synthetic paint sealant which lasts up to a year, or a ceramic paint coating that will protect your paint for up to two years.
We offer wash and wax packages to get your vehicle cleaned up after a ski weekend. This package includes a hand wash and wax, thorough cleaning of the wheels and tires, cleaning of the windows inside and out, vacuuming of the interior, and a wipe down of interior panels and plastics.
We can fit your vehicle with rubber All Weather mats to protect your carpets and interior from stains, dirt, water, and snow.
If the rain has caused a leak in your vehicle, and water is entering your car, we can fix that too. We use a smoke machine on the interior of your vehicle to detect leaks, which we can then repair for you.
10/28/2016- As of last week, we are now offering ceramic paint coatings. A ceramic paint coating is paint protection applied after washing and polishing, which protects the paint for up to 2 years. We chose to use the McKee's brand paint coating based on the value and results it delivers for our customers. Here is some information from the McKee's website:
McKee's 37 Paint Coating is a nano-glass ceramic coating that provides paint protection measured in years, not months. Formulated using nano-glass ceramic particles and state-of-the-art cross-linking polymers, McKee's 37 Paint Coating creates a hard-as-nails protective barrier and a glass-like, liquid shine. The self-cleaning effect created by the immense amount of surface tension keeps your paint looking its best in between regular washes. McKee's 37 Paint Coating is exceptionally easy to apply – no lengthy instructions to memorize!
While a conventional car wax or paint sealant wears off after a couple months, McKee's 37 Paint Coating forms a much stronger, harder bond that can withstand the elements to a much greater degree.
